So, we don't have to take word of a bear expert from "Texas" to understand that while it's rare for bears to be out of their dens in the winter it isn't an unknown occurrence, even in the Yukon especially since we haven't gotten into winter yet.
It isn't unknown, but what did the mother and daughter do to wake the bear? Or, was the bear already awake?
