I wasn't on him about his opinion, just that he misquoted me.

Or a comment was attributed to you, rather than you quoting an article.

You know I didn't quote you so you can drop the false outrage and realise that the comment was attributed to you, because you shared it and it specifically said who said it.

Maryam Namazie, a human rights activist, says the Western media should discuss and try to combat ISIS as a fascist movement instead of an Islamic one.

Everyone else gets that I didn't write those words. Why can't you?

Children gotta act like children though.

"I know you are, but what am I?"

D-Bag D-Bag:

Children gotta act like children though.

Fitting, coming from the guy crying because the quote function wasn't used perfectly and to his satisfaction.

I know you didn't write the quote and had you been a little less of a d-bag, I wouldn't mind going back to correct....but that won't happen.

OTI is right. ISIS is a fascist movement based on religion. Or just call them a cult. SO Dr Caleb is right too (can't see what the argument was about) that ISIS no more or less represents Islam than Westboro represents Christianity. Nor does Aryan Nations represent the vast majority of white Christians.

What's getting lost is the purpose of the op to show how WWII techniques can be used to deradicalize jihadis. It's why we shouldn't automatically ban the return of jihadis to Canada (can't anyway if they are citizens) nor should be just put all of them in jail and throw away the key. Some of them could be very useful tools to prevent the radicalization of others. CSIS has made the same point.

I know a German man who was taken prisoner and put thru that de-nazification process by the Brits. Became a productive citizen, worked for the BBC for a time. The only downside is that as a pow he was fed so much lamb he can't look at the stuff anymore.

This really does feel like a thread where we should all be able to agree. treat the problem just like we treated Nazism and we should be okay.

And I would have left it to my first comment on this thread, if you weren't so pedantic about owning up to your mistake to begin with.

But keep up with the name calling! It's only bringing out more of your rock solid character!

Agreement on emotionally charged subjects can be difficult. Sometimes they take over the conversation. Just look, 'Nazi' and 'ISIS' in the same article! How could it not be Goedwined from the beginning? ;)

It wasn't a mistake. It was done intentionally. I assumed you, and others, were intelligent enough to know I was attributing the comment you you that was made by someone else simply because you shared it. I was wrong about you.

Point being, I didn't care enough to ensure the quote function was spot-on perfect to appease people like you that have nothing better to do with your life than to take aim at a quote function on a forum not being used properly.

And let's cut the hypocrisy. You taking aim at me and my character for using certain, yet accurate terms to describe you after you were the one who opted to take the conversation into the toilet, it's hilarious all by itself.

Yea, that's it.

When I care what a bunch of anonymous people on the Internet think, I'll let you know.

You were much more entertaining when you were lying about having a cell phone.

We resort to name calling because of the quote function....and I'm the pretentious ass?

Want to get back on topic or do you want to continue to debate semantics and general douchbaggery?

You're the one who drove it to this point and now you want to get back on topic?
