You must be slipping Dude. I thought that was supposed to be "Libtard MP Frank Valeriote."

Why would I say that? I kind of like Liberals. It's Progtards I can't stand.

But I understand. You'd like some color with your news, I think. Very well, here's a video of Ezra apologizing for getting the robocalls scandal wrong, as only Ezra can.

Jabberwalker Jabberwalker:
If it happens again, next election, we voters should expect arrests to be made.

The last run should at last be a warning.

What do you think the Orwellian Fair Elections act is all about? Next election the party that won the riding can name the scrutineers, the Chief Electoral Officer will be muzzled and any investigation of elections fraud will now be done by somebody answerable to the minister, not Parliament. So don't worry, you won't be hearing about any robocalls next election. But there won't be soldiers with guns at the polls telling you know to vote, so it will all be above board, nothing to worry about. Be happy.

The party who won the riding cannot name scrutineers at all, that is false, scrutineers are supplied as usual by the various parties.

It has always been that the party who won the election (not the particular riding) picks the DRO, the opposition picks the poll clerks. That is only up until a certain date, after that the R.O. starts hiring.

The only change in this regard is to the selection of polling supervisors, the winning party can now submit names for them. I do disagree with this change as supervisors need to be experienced and should be selected by the R.O. based on experience. I suspect it will continue that way. In fact, they should do away with the whole process of letting the parties do the selecting of DROs and poll clerks and let the R.O. start hiring ASAP. Time constraints and training are a major issue.

Thanks for the correction. So what's the point of this legislation? Was there some problem how polling supervisors are selected? Mostly the whole act seems to be trying to solve problems that don't seem to exist (according to the guy who wrote the report) while not solving a very glaring one - the inability of the COE to investigate election fraud properly.

I'm not aware of there being a problem and this is one area I do disagree with, it wasn't necessary to change this.

I'm still wondering why it's okay for some provinces to disallow vouching but not for the feds to do the same thing.

Well, one of the proposed amendments mean they will mintaining Elections Canada's discretion in appointing central poll supervisors. I'm pleased with that change.]

They are also going to allow proof of address as ID... I wonder if Ontario and other provinces which don't allow vouching will now move to allow this :D

IMO this should be required reading and sure confirms we shouldn't believe everything the media tells us.

Does that apply to genuinewitty too? I think the trick is only to believe what you already believe - makes things much easier.

Thanks. Good read.

That's it for LeadNow, I think. Oh they'll still be around, spending their Soros money, and pushing influence from the Brotherhood, or whatever, but we're wise to them now. Sun's on their asses too. They'll never be able to sneak up on people again like they did there with the made-up robocalls scandal.

Problem is George and his gang will just start up another group of professional agitators and call it something else.

You are welcome.
They are at it again, and I love the term AstroTurf fraud for leftist 'grassroots' events. I suppose it's no surprise that Leadnow is at it again with the fair elections act. If nothing else we should be extremely wary of being led around by the nose by radical groups and the media. I hope people now realize that the media can't be trusted these days.

Genuinewitty has documented the events so from someone who was there and recognizes what happened, I'd believe her before Mulder and Sculley from the Ottawa Citizen. Those two should win the award for best fiction.

If GenuineWitty is who I think he is, he's a guy. He's this guy who follows professional protesters around and reveals their dirty tricks. I've seen him talking to Ezra.

Sounds like the Robocalls scandal was where he began, but now those professional protestor guys all know him and hate him. You'll see videos of them going after his camera as soon as it appears now.

Him and Ezra share information. They know all these professional protestors by name now.
