The bizarre thing is, I had a friend years ago who's personalized plate would be banned if he lived there. He was from Viet Nam and honest to God, his name is Hung Lo.

I met a Chinese economist years ago. He shook my hand and said "I'm in you". I said "Not yet, but buy me a drink and we'll see how the evening goes." His name was Aimin Yu.

When I was at Intel there was an employee named Phuc Hue and we all rather enjoyed using his first name.

On an aside, there was also a Hindu girl named Swastika and some PC idiot really did try to make her stop using her name at work.

I've always thought that Chlamydia would be a pretty name for a girl.

Yeah its funny how names translate across borders. Like Butt is proper last name in Pakistan. I have a friend who visits Canada often with that name and can only imagine the look on the immigration staff. Welcome to Canada Mr Butt !

Then I had a Scandinavian client and his name was Mr Lund. And lund is a proper cuss word in Urdu and Hindi. I had to hold it in every time I addressed him and I did that a lot on purpose and saw everyone around me in tears or holding their bellies trying not to break out into a guttral laugh. :D

Now if you were a Canadian, you'd know all about Brent Butt. It's a proper last name here too. And butt is more of an American expression. We used to say bum, until all that rap crap came up here.
