I helped when we first got together. Now she doesn't let me use any of the household machines.

I'd show this to my wife, but odds are she'd say something like, "I'll take my chances, now finish the dishes!"

When you load the dishwasher include an intake manifold.

Motherfucker...just cleaned, vacuumed and mopped the apt. Wished Id logged in earlier, would have saved me a lot of trouble.

Do they take away your membership card to the international jihadist muslim conspiracy if they find out you did woman's work?

Mrs. Lemmy and I will be celebrating #20 in a few months. I'm thinking more divorces come from not "sharing the chores" in the bedroom than anywhere else in the house.

Sounds like a load of shit. I was raised with a father who ensured me and my brother and sister did chores with him or mom. In his mind there was no such thing as "womens" work just "house" work. I made sure my two boys understood the same thing.

My mom and dad have been married almost 50 years and me and my wife have been together for 23.

Maybe we're both the exception to the rule. 8)

I've been married 25 years...............just saying. :P

Ditto! And Mrs. Bart does 95% of the chores. Partly that's because she is home six days a week to my two days a week.

Pfft, I just married an OCD lady and did stuff wrong until she told me to get lost, she would do it.

Granted, I do the same to her when it comes to fixing and the outdoors.

Works out to about the same number of hours working per day per person.

Maybe that is the key?

I think key is to communicate and find out what works best for you as a couple. If one of the two is not willing, you do have a problem.

Yup.

A cautionary tale. When I met my bride-to-be, I had my own place so we liked to hang out there. We were seeing each other pretty regular, when I noticed that my colander kept showing up in the tupperware cupboard instead of with the pots and pans where I kept it. Next it was the paring knife. Then the cereal. Months later and I was a stranger in my own kitchen.

FF 15 years and now she's trying to kick me off my BBQ. What really hurts is that the neighbours are supporting her, not me, though this is a clear violation of Standard Household Protocol. I guess they don't like their chicken black on the outside and frozen on the inside.

Him: leave my stuff alone.

Her: sorry, that isn't an option.

Him: well, how about giving me a room in the house that's mine to use as I see fit?

Her: sorry, that isn't an option.

Him: not even the garage?

Her: sorry, that isn't an option.

Him: well, is it OK with you if I just lay down and die?

Her: sure, that is an option.

Women play dirty. 8O

Same problem, solved it by booting mine out of the kitchen.

Except for cleaning it. 8)

Now I only have the rest of the house to get my stuff lost in.
