The UN.

I am reminded of Cromwell's speech to the English Parliament.

"You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately ... Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!"

I go to work everyday so I can pay my taxes. I encouraged my kids to become productive citizens and to do their duty and vote. That in turn allows the government to send out millions in aid to help kids.

That's what I do.

In between oppressing people and perpetuating the imperialistic dogma we Brits are famous for, I spent 12 months on famine relief in Ethiopia. There we relived the days of Empire and airlifted more in a day than the UN had lifted in a year. I think I’ve done my bit.

Maybe I'm reading to much into the statement, but it seems less that they are unhappy with what we are doing for children, and more that they don't like our paper work about what we are doing for children.

Or maybe they just like to bitch: "Exports of asbestos, slow action on climate change, and weak controls over the behaviour of Canadian corporations overseas were also raised as concerns."

Yep and they're adults and on the loose! Take some comfort in that they aren't like my sisters, the latte sipping Escalade driving leather skinned ex soccer moms that give Mr Canada the stink eye when he's loafing around City Park or mooching about in Capri Mall.

Could be worse. They could be loafing around City park or mooching about in Capri Mall.

Too many hippies and beggars to sneer at, many more "untermench class" to look down their noses at, too many support groups and associations to join, golf courses need attending and clothes/shoes need to be bought for them to loaf around.

Your shit, they'll try to stick their nose in it. Who needs 40 year old valley girls?
