I didn't say Ontario was going to throw anyone under anything. I said we don't care about the west. And the NDP isn't going to form a federal government in this country any time soon, so I'm not going to entertain that hypothetical.

Agreed. I get so sick of hearing easterners bash the West all the time, especially Alberta. It seems like everyone out East is all butt hurt that they aren't so important anymore. Maybe once all of the young people have moved out West for jobs we'll have the political power to match our economic power. What will the Lemmy's of the world think then?

I haven't cast any stones. I've just expressed the general sentiments of Ontarians. It's not that Ontarians have anything against you. That's why we don't understand why westerners hate us. We're indifferent. And I never said that reflected my own personal opinion, just the general lack of interest we have about western Canada. Also, don't over-estimate the importance or sustainability of your relatively undiversified economy.

I said "Easterners" not "Lemmy" in my comment. Your "No one here gives you enough thought to bash you" sounds suspiciously like bashing to me, way to prove a point. The East sure does cause a lot of trouble for the West for a group of people who couldn't be bothered to even think about us. I'm sure ignoring the West will work out well for you in the long run, best of luck.

it may be un-diversified, but unlike cars, people will always need energy and since all of the renewable energy sources are pretty much a joke, that isn't going to change in my generation nor the next.

That being said, we appreciate your apathy towards the west, but if the paychecks ever stop that just means we feel the same about you upper Canadians.
