JESUS CHRIST ALMIGHTY YOU ARE DENSE! YOU STILL HAVE NOT ANSWERED MY QUESTION(S).
REGARDLESS OF 'WHY' LI IS 'FOUND GUILTY', WHAT IS THE POINT IN KEEPING HIM ALIVE 'FOREVER'????
Hypothetical; Only a certain amount of $$$ are available. They can EITHER be used to house/treat Li OR they could be used to treat an illness which YOU or ONE OF YOUR LOVED ONES is afflicted with. WHAT WOULD BE YOUR CHOICE???
I'm sorry but your question is one of those ignorant would you rather hypothetical statements at best and should just remain unanswered...and i don't understand what point your trying to make with this considering I'm obviously going to place my family above a stranger, and it will always be that way for any situation aside from this one so i really don't see the point in your argument.
And if you actually read my first paragraph you would know how i stand on this situation.
If Li is MENTALLY DISABLED, i would say that punishing him for a crime that he was not in the mind to commit is unjust in the eyes of the law!
THIS ISN'T ABOUT HIM, THIS IS ABOUT THE PRECEDENT THAT YOU ARE SETTING! IF YOU CHOOSE TO NEGLECT TREATMENT TO SOMEONE WHO COMMITTED A HANEOUS CRIME BECAUSE HE WAS MENTALLY ILL, THEN YOU ARE NOT ONLY SAYING THAT HE IS A LOST CAUSE AND ISN'T WORTH THE MONEY SPENT ON TREATMENT BUT YOU ARE ALSO VALUING LIFE BASED ON GENETICS AND MENTAL HEALTH
which is against every one's rights.
This isn't an isolated incident i will say again and the way this case is handled will affect the way future cases will be tried. Setting a dangerous precedent like in the case of R. vs Latimer can be detrimental to society.
JUST GIVE THE GUY SOME DAMN TREATMENT IF IT COMES TO THAT
