It sure would be nice for Canada to have its own aircraft carrier. At least that would be cool, although expensive but neat nonetheless.

DanSC DanSC: DerbyX DerbyX: On one hand you decry other governments who annex land but then when it is proven that your country did the same you have all kinds of excuses. It was just proven now? You asked what happened, and I told you. No excuses, just facts. The interventionists and President McKinley acted poorly while President Cleveland acted more admirably. $1: We have a word for that .... hypocrisy. [pissing match] I'm surprised a nation still using the structure of the British Empire has such a word.[/pissing match] Kinda puts territorial acquisition in a different light. Think about that the next time you say China conquered Tibet.

The British and the French have considered having a joint carrier, so maybe Canada could co-op with the British or Americans on one. Co-oping with the Americas would probably be easier, as both fly Hornets. Besides, that huge paved deck is just begging for a roller hockey tournament, one the Canadian sailors would almost certainly win

DerbyX DerbyX: China conquered Tibet. No China definitely conquered Tibet. If I'm versed on and willing to admit my own country's historical mistakes and crimes, you should be able to admit the crimes of nations that aren't even your own.

Ignoring for the moment I favor pretty much any groups desire to vote for independence fairly you should be more cognizant that due to the US historical example (and Canada for that matter), countries around the world no doubt feel they can establish a greater country by doing the same thing and all they need to do is get past the first few generations and then tell the "conquered people" (and this is for you Andy) to buck up and integrate. BTW, if its a crime for China to acquire territory like they did in Tibet then it should be just as criminal in Israel. This isn't a point at you since I don't know about your stance there but rather to a few people who rabidly attack China over this as fervently as they support Israel in their efforts.

You'd have to take that up with the Israelis. And they will defend their right (backed by the US) as a historical fact no different then China in Tibet. If you fault one then you should fault the other.

DanSC DanSC: You're safe: that name's taken .jpg) "Excellence with Vigor" I was sort of kidding around, perhaps, should have stated, not Argonauts. In the US, they tend to commission ships after US Presidents or influent people, whereas in Canada, they name them after Cities or Provinces. Now, the HMCS Alouette, now that would be great.

DerbyX DerbyX: HMCS Rocket Richard! How does that sound? The HMCS Nordique, now that is better. By the way, not wanting to go too much off topic as I am only playing around. A few cold ones are good.
